Description
The Aerona 290 is Grant’s latest generation of inverter-driven air-to-water heat pumps which use R290 refrigerant and incorporate the latest heat pump technology, modern design and aesthetics as well as multiple installer-friendly features.
Using the natural R290 refrigerant, the Aerona 290 heat pumps achieve excellent SCOPs and exceptional performance levels. The range has been developed with installers in mind with each unit designed for straightforward installation, servicing and maintenance. The Aerona 290 heat pumps provide installers and their customers with an incredibly efficient low carbon heating system which delivers with design, performance and peace of mind.
- Single phase heating outputs including 4kW, 6.5kW, 9kW, 12kW and 15.5kW, each rated at -5°C air temperature and 55°C water flow temperature.
- G1 Installers can offer 7 year guarantees (*G1 Installer must complete Grant heat pump training to be eligible, subject to Terms and Conditions)
- Each Aerona 290 heat pump is MCS accredited and eligible for Government funding as well as being Connect and Notify approved.
- Featuring sound-reducing features, such as acoustic cotton sound insulation in the casing and twin eccentric cam levers with balancing weights, each heat pump operates with ultra-low sound levels and is Quiet Mark accredited
- Designed for installation with the Aerona Smart Controller, the Aerona 290 can be remotely managed and monitored to assist heat pump installers with off-site diagnostic support as well as facilitating weather and load compensation, heating curve adjustments and set-up support.
- Features built-in PWM circulating pump, DC twin rotary compressor, low and high pressure protection controls, discharge temperature protection controls and factory-fitted automatic air vent and 3-bar pressure relieve valve
- Uses electronic expansion valve to precisely control the flow of R290 refrigerant into the evaporator as well as a 4-way valve to divert the refrigerant flow for the defrost operation.
- Incorporates R290 refrigerant safety features including a refrigerant leak sensor and independent ventilation channels allowing for fresh air intake
- Units have an anti-freeze protection heater on the plate heat exchanger and heated base tray. Mechanical anti-freeze valves can be used to protect the external system pipework, as glycol antifreeze cannot be used.
- Multiple condensate drain holes in the base tray and overflow holes facilitate the clear removal of condensate from the heat pumps
